Is my phone eSIM compatible? How to check in 10 seconds

Before buying an eSIM, check two things: that your phone supports it and that it's unlocked. Both take a moment.

The quickest trick: *#06#

Open your phone's dialler and enter *#06#. If one of the numbers shown is called EID, your phone supports eSIM. If you only see the IMEI, it doesn't.

Common models with eSIM

  1. iPhone XS, XR and every later model.
  2. Samsung Galaxy S20 and later, and many Z Flip and Z Fold models.
  3. Google Pixel 3 and later.
  4. iPad: Wi-Fi + Cellular models only.

The phone must be unlocked

If you bought the phone from an operator and it's still locked, it won't accept another company's eSIM. Ask your operator whether it's unlocked before you buy.

What if it isn't compatible?

You can use a pocket Wi-Fi router with an eSIM, or share data from a teammate's phone that has one. Message us in the chat and we'll help you choose.

FAQ

Do phones bought outside Europe work?

Usually yes, as long as they have eSIM and are unlocked. Some models sold in certain countries don't include it: *#06# settles it.
